The New York American League team played at Hilltop Park from 1903 to 1912 and were known as the Highlanders. Upon their move to the Polo Grounds in Manhattan, the HIghlanders nickname no longer made sense and they became known as the Yankees.
A 12-game cup-of-coffee in the bigs and then back to obscurity.
