First of all, this thing is tiny. I measured my wrist at about 7.25″ so I ordered the Large. I don’t have a prayer of getting this thing over my hand even without th pad in it. It being as tight as it is, I don’t think even an extra large will fit and I do not have overly large hands or wrists. This thing must be intended for little leaguers or girls.
Also, it doesn’t actually have any soft padding. It is just a plastic shield and a piece of neoprene.
The Evo Shield Wrist Guard is the best that I have seen for protecting a catcher’s left wrist(palm side) from blocked balls in the dirt. It is very easy to take shape to the player’s wrist, making for an excellent fit. The protective case that comes with it keeps it clean and free of the dirt in the players bag. The price of $20 is reasonable. It launders easily. I highly recommend it.
