Overall, this is a great batting tee. It seems very sturdy and will last the test of time.
One serious design flaw that may affect people who buy this tee is in feature that allows the tee to be taken apart and attached to the base for easy carry.
The big problem is that every time you remove the extension, in order to secure it into the bungee straps to carry, you must also pull the bolt out. The bolt obstructs the extension when you try to secure it, and may get lost if you remove it. Also, the bungee straps used to hold the extension are very hard to stretch in order to insert the extension.
Overall, if you don’t plan on taking this apart for easy carry, then you won’t have any issues.
My two year old son got this tee for Christmas this year. He is about average in height for a 2 year old and this tee can adjust to the perfect size. Very sturdy material and we think this will last for several years to come.
Our almost 3 year old twin grandsons have recently developed a real passion for baseball. Most of their outside time is spent “batting” and pretending “home runs”. We and their parents decided that a tee would make a good birthday present for them. We chose this one, because it adjusts from the correct height for a 3 year old to the correct height for an adult. We hope they will enjoy it for many years.
I bought this for my son after he broke the previous one from a different manufacturer after a few swings. The quality of the Jugs tee is superb.
This is an excellent heavy rubber tee. I can’t imagine it not lasting years. It telescopes down to fit my 5 y/o son with about the right amount of friction. It’s easy to break down if needed.
