In general, I like these little Mizuno gloves. They’re highly flexible and lightweight and nearly perfect for younger players. My beef with this particular glove is the difference between the glove’s description and its picture. I ordered this particular model for my 7-year-old because of its open back. I do not like the finger slot and would not have ordered this glove if I had known that it has a finger-slot back. Unfortunately, I paid too much attention to the picture (which is open-backed) instead of the description (which describes it as having a finger-slot back). Again, these Mizuno gloves are great, and my kids have had two before this one. Just make sure you’re ordering what you mean to order; I wish I had.
This glove is great for a kid since it is very easy to close. Recommended for kids only!
My son used it in a game the day after he received it. I was really buying it for next year, because he already had a well broken in glove this year but was needing to get a bigger size for next year. His hands are really small so he had been using a WIlson Pro Series 10 1/2″ soft leather glove for Machine Pitch and it just wasn’t cutting it because it was so short/small for catching. I could never find a 11″ glove that fit him right that he could actually close comfortably and with skill. But this GLOVE WAS PERFECT for him it was quite a bit larger than his other glove he had NO trouble closing and catching balls with it. Made a Huge difference for him! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GLOVE and I’ve order another 1 for my other son. It’s hard to find a high quality glove like this at a great price. But this is one of the best! VERY SOFT LEATHER, EASY CLOSE!
I bought this for my 8 year old son. This is the second Mizuno glove I bought for him. The glove is soft and ready to go right from the start. No break in period is necessary. Mizuno puts a notch in the glove where it creases and that eliminates the stiffness that you would normally need to spend time breaking in.
The build quality is excellent for this prince range. I’m sure my son will outgrow the glove before he wears it out.
Bought this glove for $30.00. It is well worth the money. It does not require any break in time due to the hinged bottom on the glove. It does have a hole for the index finger, but that is fine with my 7yr old son. I would highly recommend this. My older son wants on too!
