I got these for my 10 year old son who plays baseball. He really likes them better than any other sliding shorts I have gotten him. They are comfortable and hold the cup in place really well. He doesn’t like the cup that came with the shorts, but uses another (nicer, more expensive) cup that he has. He plays catcher so it is important that he be comfortable over a long period of time with a cup in.
I purchased this item for my 10 year old based on a pair he had from a different company. When I received the item, I found that it was much too small for him, but my 6 yr old could wear them. My only complaint is the cup that came with it. For the size of the short, the cup was HUGE. Not wide, but it stuck out way too far. We ended up using another cup that looks more appropriate for a young child.
We needed a cup for baseball, so I decided to give these a try. They wash great, they’re easy to put on and the side padding helps during a good slide.
