Molitor was a great hitter, no question. But although it’s a little early to tell, Mauer might be even better. The coming years will tell the tale. God bless ‘em both:)–

I had a similar problem with throwing. I played for years and after I stopped, I somehow forgot how to throw. Just try to break things down step by step and go back to the basics. Once you get better, your old instincts should kick in and you should be fine.

quepasarick April 11, 2010 at 1:49 am

I forgot one other thing; My handgrip on my fingers are loose not tight. As I load I get a firmer grip. My knuckles are aligned and try to swing level. Try to keep the knuckles aligned and level when you swing. Dont swing with the knucles going down.

I definitely agree with your concept. Coach Joe Brockhoff from super 8 hitting system explain his concept on hitting. I changed my stance; arms, elbows lower and tucked in, L and V shape holding the bat, fingers loose, focus and BAM! I’m hitting now better than ever before. I go to the batting cage and hitting better than most HS kids. I am only 57 years young.
It’s never too late!

Well tell them they’re morons.

PyroButt09 April 11, 2010 at 3:33 am

Couple guys in class

Hworth8 April 11, 2010 at 3:36 am

I agree its just like the Griffey Tee. If Griffey took his game swing to that monstrosity of a device he’s smash it in two. I like this a lot more than the Griffey tee.

Hworth8 April 11, 2010 at 3:58 am

No you don’t have to have Little League experience who the hell told you that?

SadegoGG April 11, 2010 at 4:10 am

@prestonpelfrey

Why would you buy it when their teaching hitting mechanics differently than they actually swing? These guys can’t teach hitting…

SadegoGG April 11, 2010 at 4:30 am

@PyroButt09

If you have a good training routine and a positive work ethic you can develop into a good athlete, and you will be able to eventually play at the high school level. However, most coaches out there suck and do not develop athletes properly. This can be a disadvantage to you, but if you are careful of who you listen to then you can actually use this as an advantage. Playing little league only matters in early development, but there is no reason you can’t play high school/college.

PyroButt09 April 11, 2010 at 4:46 am

Speaking about high school baseball. im on my way to high school and i was wondering to play on the team do you have had to have played in a little league before or anything similar?

and ive also heard that to play in college baseball and the majors you had to play in a little league team first.

is that also true??

thanks in advance to anyone

soxfan95aw April 11, 2010 at 4:59 am

@beastlybombers alot of pro hitter do this, you just dont notice it, because they swing so fast. Also, there is power to swinging like this, and you will get more nice hits if you swing like this. Power comes with how strong you are.

MrTigerfan09 April 11, 2010 at 5:27 am

Not really if you work hard

mxpassion17 April 11, 2010 at 6:00 am

and how do you know that? if they only played up to minor league then they failed.

xenianightshade April 11, 2010 at 6:37 am

Depends what highschool it is and how many people are interested in playing baseball.

prestonpelfrey April 11, 2010 at 7:32 am

why buy this when you can just make it yourself?

wesleycomeau10 April 11, 2010 at 8:02 am
