COOL!!
my favorite player of all time
Goosebumps every time I watch this
Griffey epitomized the quintessential baseball player. He could run, he could catch, he could throw, and boy… could he swing a bat. I was born in ’88 and modeled a great deal of my game after him, his hustle, his sportsmanship, his plate approach, God, I even stole his little bat wiggle (and the swagger that came along with it.) If ever there were a greater player, I’d be hard-pressed to find one. Here’s to you Griffey you made me a better player, and in doing so, a better man. I’ll miss you.
i can’t agree with u guys more, griffey was my idol growing up playing baseball and he will be missed by the mlb, they need someone to fill shoes….good luck
Hurts to watch this..
One of the greats!*
Wow Griffey will truly be missed! One ignite greats…if it wasn’t for injuries he would be our HR Champion!
I’ve watched this video a dozen times…. I tear up everytime. Baseball is what held me and my brothers relationship as kids together…. and it was Griffey in the center of all of it. He will be missed in Seattle!! Can’t wait until he gets to Cooperstown!

Hello Cooperstown.
This commercial sends shivers down my spine and I’m not gonna lie,I actually teared up.
Thanks for all of the memories Ken. You’ve inspired me to play since I was 6 =*)
Thanks for the memories, Junior.
thank you jr. for keeping it clean and being a very positive role model for me growing up. its never iffy if its griffy
I shed a tear watching this. The sweetest swing in baseball will no doubt be a first ballot Hall of Famer. Junior did it the right way, and we can only imagine what the numbers would be like without the injuries.
